[We recently introduced changes allowing Coba members to request and activate their Coba Mexico Mastercard for FREE, once they get their first $100 USD deposit in their US Deposit Account]
Once you receive your Coba Mexico Mastercard at your address, follow these steps for security reasons to start using your card:
Go to the ‘Cards’ section on the web or mobile platform.
Select ‘Pre-activate card’.
Enter the 16 digits of the card along with the CVC security code.
Assign a 4-digit PIN to the card and confirm the new PIN twice.
Confirm the pre-activation using the 2FA step.
Your card should now be ready for use in e-commerce or digital stores. However, to fully activate your card, follow these final steps:
Go to almost any Bank ATM (exceptions: Banamex, Afirme, Mifel, Inbursa).
Insert your card and enter the PIN (or NIP) you selected through the Coba App.
Select balance inquiry ("consulta de saldo").
That’s it! After completing this, you will be able to spend anywhere in Mexico with your secured Coba Mexico Mastercard.
